Workforce Project Assistant x 2

Band: 5

Salary: £24,214 – £30,112

Hours: Full/Part Time 25 hours available (for part time posts salary will be pro rata)

Contract: Fixed Term – 1 Year

Base: The Poynt, Luton

This is an exciting opportunity to support a newly formed Workforce Development Academy team for Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes (BLMK) Integrated Care System (ICS). Within BLMK we recognise that our health and social care staff are critical to both the quality of our current services and for the delivery of future integrated models of care. Establishing a Workforce Development Academy, supporting workforce development across our 15 health and care organisations, underpins our ambition to improve the working lives and development opportunities for existing staff, attract future health and social care staff to work, learn and live in BLMK and create new integrated workforce transformation solutions.

As a growing team we are looking for two post holders. One will support our significant Primary Care Workforce programme and one will support the wider workforce transformation programme. This will include supporting a range of projects/workforce development initiatives within a varied portfolio and require the post holder to apply robust Administration and project processes to effectively support a significant programme of workforce transformation. You will have experience of successfully delivering/supporting projects within NHS/Social Care setting and knowledge and experience in the management of project and office procedures. You will have the opportunity to thrive within an innovative environment that is committed to delivering workforce transformation and work with a driven and enthusiastic team.

This is currently a fixed-term post for one year, with a possibility of extension. Secondments will be considered. Interviews with be held on 28th January 2020.

Successful applicants to posts at band 6 or above for which a DBS check is required, will be asked to pay for this as a condition of their job offer (£44 for an Enhanced Check or £27 for a Standard Check). This payment will be deducted from their first month’s salary unless a longer pay back period is agreed with the appointing manager. This will not apply to successful applicants who are registered with the DBS Update Service and is in possession of the disclosure certificate, for whom an online status check will be undertaken.

Senior Workforce Transformation Project Manager

Salary – £52,306 – £60,983

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Workforce Development Academy team for Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes (BLMK) Integrated Care System (ICS). Within BLMK we recognise that our health and social care staff are critical to both the quality of our current services and for the delivery of future integrated models of care. Establishing a Workforce Development Academy, supporting workforce development across our 15 health and care organisations, underpins our ambition to improve the working lives and development opportunities for existing staff, attract future health and social care staff to work, learn and live in BLMK and create new integrated workforce transformation solutions.

The Senior Workforce Transformation Project Manager will provide leadership, effective programme/project management and delivery of workforce transformation across multi-professional groups, health and social care sectors and our 15 partner organisations. You will deputise for the Strategic Workforce Transformation Lead and work across the workforce transformation programme.

We are looking for a dynamic, motivated individual with a proven record of delivering complex change programmes within health/social care settings. You will contribute to the design and implementation of the Workforce Academy, developing the functions that deliver workforce transformation outcomes. You will have the opportunity to thrive within an innovative ICS environment that is committed to delivering workforce transformation and work with a driven and enthusiastic team.
