Luton Employment and Skills Conference 19 October
Invitation from Nicola Monk, Corporate Director of Inclusive Economy, Luton council
You are invited to help shape the design of the Employment and Skills Strategy for Luton by attending the Luton Employment and Skills Conference on Tuesday 19 October from 2pm – 4pm. The conference will be held online using Zoom.
This is an important strategy that forms a key part of our Luton 2040 Vision and our objectives for an Inclusive Economy. RSM UK Consulting has been appointed by Luton council and the Luton Employment and Skills Partnership (ESP) to develop an evidence-led Employment and Skills strategy with a firm desire to improve the prospects of Luton’s residents and increase the prosperity of our businesses, especially in response to the challenges created through the pandemic.
We would like you to contribute to the design of this work and ensure the outcomes reflect the needs of Luton. We want to build on our understanding of the jobs and training challenges and opportunities for Luton and add to the statistical data already gathered. This will identify the actions and interventions needed to improve skills and employability outcomes for people across Luton.
Book your place by emailing martin.stein@luton.gov.uk. Further information will be issued before the conference.
You can also comment using the online survey as your insights will be invaluable. Click here for the survey.
We look forward to having the opportunity to engage with you soon and don’t hesitate to reach out, should you have any queries.
