CPD Programmes and Multi-disciplinary Education
We have a funded programme of CPD for nurses and AHPs and a number of multi-disciplinary education sessions including: making the transition to Primary Care for new to practice professionals, business fundamentals to support experienced staff develop skills in management and leadership and Bring Baby to keep up to date with mandatory training during maternity leave.
2020/21 CPD Programme for AHPs and Nurses
The CPD programme was developed based on feedback from practices around what the current learning need is along with topics to help with new service delivery and new ways of working. Places on courses were accessible to Nurses and AHPs.
Here is a list of training topics covered to date. Each course had full attendance, resulting in a number of our Primary Care colleagues receiving high quality training in the following areas:

- Diabetes Diploma
- COPD Diploma
- Minor Illness Diploma
- Asthma refresher
- COPD refresher
- Ear Care workshop
- Cervical Cytology updates
- Spirometry first qualification
- Digital consultations
- Frailty
- Cancer Care Review
- Mental Health Awareness
We will also be putting together a suite of free to access e-learning modules including;
- Immunisation & Vaccination update
- Resilience and personal development
