Health Education England (HEE) have funded a new Safeguarding Awareness offering which meets the requirements of the ‘robust 3-yearly training’ for whole staff communities.

As part of the offering, there will be a 1-hour webinar giving an overall insight into safeguarding at introductory level for any staff involved in apprenticeship delivery, along with an in-depth 3-hour workshop aimed at Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL’s) with an apprenticeship remit, covering a further understanding of their lead roles and accountability.

TARGET AUDIENCE

NHS (Main, Employer or Sub) Providers & anyone involved in apprenticeship delivery.

The 1-hour Safeguarding Awareness webinar will allow delegates to gain an overall insight into safeguarding at an introductory level. This webinar is suitable for all those who work in post 16 education and training provision who have minimal or ad hoc contact with learners and require an overview to safeguarding to meet the organisational policy and procedure requirement.

The 1-hour webinar will give delegates an introduction to:

  • National guidance and procedures,
  • Categories of abuse,
  • Ensuring a response of logging and reporting concerns,
  • Whistleblowing and sharing professional concerns.
