The Generic Service Intervention: Dementia Competency Framework builds on the National Dementia Core Skills & Knowledge Framework. It targets NHS, as well as social care and 3rd sector staff, and provides further detail of what is expected when working with, or coming into contact with people living with dementia and their carers.
There are ‘Foundation’, ‘Intermediate’ and ‘Advanced’ tabs that take you to a number of resources appropriate to that level. Each level is incremental, assuming you have the knowledge and skill from the previous one. Some resources may need to be used in combination to achieve the necessary competencies in the framework.
