This is an annual IPC update or refresher session.  It is one of the Skills for Care Core & Mandatory training and supports

CQC KLOEs:
Safe: S5, S6
By monitoring  performance to assess knowledge and completency at least annually.
Provide learning and development opportunities when identifed or required and at least every 3 years

It will meet CQC fundamental standards: Premises and equipment

This course intends to update you or help you understand the following:

  • Health and social care act 2008
  • Criterion to be complied with by all healthcare providers
  • Hand Hygiene
  • Standard Infection Control Precautions (SICPs)
  • MRSA.
  • C.difficile
  • Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS)
  • PSIRF in Infection Prevention and Control
  • Occupational Health/Staff Health
  • Policies & Guidelines
  • What’s Coming Up In IPC World ?
