Intended audience group: 3, 4 and 5

Group 3: More in-depth learning for all levels of  registered and unregistered front line staff in all health and social care environments (residential, domiciliary, nursing and community), including where relevant primary care.  These courses are available to personal assistants of care where funding may be used from personal health budgets for continuous healthcare.

Aims and Objectives

Aims to raise awareness of causes of pressure ulcers/diabetic foot attack and promote good practice in prevention and treatment of these.

Champions will then have particular responsibility for delivering high quality, person centered support to vulnerable people within a care environment and act as a source of information, advice and coaching to their colleagues.

For nurses or senior carers or others who are to influence changes in practice around diabetic foot attack, the prevention and treatment of malnutrition and pressure ulcers

This course meets the standard of the NHS Framework.
