BLMK Enhanced Health In Care Homes (EHiCH) Care Staff Training Brochure 2024/2025
What is Enhanced Health in Care Homes?
Bedfordshire Luton and Milton Keynes Integrated Care System (ICS) are committed to ensuring that people working in care homes and system partners have access to several resource materials and tools to support delivery of best practice care to residents living in CQC Registered Care Homes throughout BLMK.
The Enhanced health in care homes (EHiCH) framework is for primary care networks (PCNs) and providers and commissioners of community health and social care services. It guides the commissioning of and delivery arrangements for health and social care services in collaboration with care homes, so that the entire system works together to provide personalised care, improve outcomes, and promote independence for people living in care. It recognises the life course of people who live in a care home and promotes the ethos of living, ageing and dying well.
The framework reflects new ways of partnership working since the COVID-19 pandemic, clearly setting out practical guidance and good practice. This includes highlighting a range of training opportunities for care home staff.
The most recent publication of the Enhanced Health in Care Homes Framework was published on 29th November 2023 and can be accessed via this link: (NHS England » Providing proactive care for people living in care homes – Enhanced health in care homes framework)
