Animation: What PPE to wear in all situations

A new short animated film can be used for training on good PPE practice is available. It includes information on the new variants and covers all situations at work. It was created by the Better Care Fund in the North of England and Academic Health Science Network (North East and Cumbria).
The PPE you wear and the other infection prevention measures you carry out are still effective if done correctly. We know the vaccine prevents us getting ill. If you’re caring for someone it’s very important you get the vaccine.
- But we don’t know if it stops us passing on the virus.
- Act as if you have the virus both at work and outside of work.
- Follow the rules outside of work. Your actions and your behaviour matter.
- An outbreak is disastrous and results in deaths, severe illness and reduced staff levels.
