This module is part of the overall Shared Decision Making programme and its aim is to enable both trainee and established GPs to improve their skills in involving patients in decisions made about their care. For shared decision-making to work, GPs need good consulting skills, which is what this course is about.

The 12 patient scenarios, each showing a consultation between a GP and a patient or relative and the patient’s immediate response are:
