About the role
The Knowledge Specialist role is funded by Health Education England and is a pilot scheme aiming to support an evidence-based approach to patient care and workforce development, through two main strands: searching and sharing.
Through Knowledge Skills Workshops and 1:1 Research Support Beth can support staff to boost their confidence in searching for the evidence they need to support their practice, develop their careers or conduct an audit or service improvement project.
Beth can perform mediated Evidence Searches, and Evidence Summaries for patient care or workforce initiatives, service improvement projects and proposals e.g. for PCN Portfolio Development Funding Opportunity projects.
Beth can support practices, PCNs or the training hub with organising and disseminating best practice, case studies and research.
Beth lives in Bedfordshire and has previously worked in Higher Education libraries in London. Her own research interests include research anxiety, kindness, and open source search techniques such as geolocating images. She is looking forward to getting to know staff across BLMK and finding out what support she can offer.
